Instructions for obtaining GMRS FCC license

STEP 1: FCC REGISTRATION NUMBER (FRN)

1. Go to the FCC website: FCC Registration - Login

2. Click " Register"

3. Answer two Yes/No questions

4, Fill out the FRN Registration Form

Write down the FRN at the top of your screen and be sure to print/save the page for your records ---- you'll want to know your FRN!

STEP 2: GMRS LICENSE

HAVE YOUR FRN FROM STEP 1

1. Go to the FCC website: License Manager - Login (fcc.gov)

2. Log in with your FRN and password

3. Click " Apply for a New License" in the left hand column

4. Select "ZA - General Mobile Radia (GMRS)" from the drop down list - it's all the way at the bottom!

5. Answer three "Yes/No" questions

6. Fill out your Licensee name and address

7. Answer one "Yes/No" question

8. Confirm your information and press " Continue to Certify"

9. Sign your certification and press "Submit Application

10. Continue for payment options

Make sure to login and pay the $35 fee

1. Log into your FCC account with your FRN and password

2. Press "Make Payment" and choose from the given payment options: pay from bank account, pay by credit or debit card, pay by wire transfer, or pay by check/money order

CONGRATULATIONS!

You have completed your application and your payment is being processed. Once your GMRS license is granted (typically within 1-5 days). the FCC will send you an email,
